BudgIT has urged the National Assembly to leverage its authority to proactively address irregularities in the proposed 2025 national budget, ensuring that the final document aligns with the needs and aspirations of Nigerians.
The organisation highlighted key priorities such as job creation, poverty reduction, and inclusive, broad-based economic growth. In a public statement released on Thursday, signed by Communications Associate Ms. Nancy Odimegwu, BudgIT pointed out specific concerns, including the lack of a budgetary provision for the funding of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road.
BudgIT emphasized the importance of a transparent and accountable budget process to foster sustainable development and meet the nation’s critical needs.
