CLASHES IN LAGOS MARKETS LEAVE FOUR DEAD, OTHERS INJURED

Pandemonium erupted in Owode Onirin, Kosofe Local Government Area of Lagos State, following a violent confrontation between land grabbers and traders, which claimed three lives and left several others, including a police officer, injured.

In a separate incident, business activities were disrupted at Balogun Market on Lagos Island when a dispute between two market operators degenerated into a fight, resulting in one death and multiple injuries.

Clarifying the situation, the Lagos State Police Command dismissed reports of an ethnic conflict at Balogun, explaining that the disturbance was caused by miscreants and hoodlums around the market.
