The Dangote refinery has announced a reduction in its ex-gantry loading price of petrol to N865 per litre, down from N880 per litre as sold on Wednesday. This marks a N15 decrease, in line with market expectations for a gradual drop in fuel prices.
According to reports, the new price was communicated to marketers and customers through a notice issued Thursday morning. A Pro forma invoice and checks on petroleumprice.ng also confirmed the updated pricing.
The move comes amid growing anticipation that the 650,000 barrels-per-day refinery would cut its petrol loading rates by the end of the week, a development expected to ease pump prices nationwide.
