Dangote Petroleum Refinery & Petrochemicals has announced a refund to customers who purchased Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) at rates higher than the recently reduced price of ₦825 per litre from its key partners. The refinery’s move comes after it lowered its gantry price from ₦890 to ₦825 per litre, aligning with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda to boost the economy.
In a statement issued over the weekend, the refinery assured that marketers who purchased PMS at the old rate of ₦890 per litre will receive a refund of ₦65 per litre on over 200,000 metric tonnes of fuel previously sold. This initiative aims to ensure that Nigerians fully benefit from the price reduction and maintain fair pricing across the market.
The refinery reiterated its commitment to providing affordable fuel and stabilising the petroleum market. It urged marketers and distributors to comply with the new price structure to ensure consumers enjoy the benefits of the price adjustment.
