Ekiti Agro-Business takes a leap with AGROMORE” Agruculture Initiative.

Third to fifth year students of the department of Agriculture in Ekiti State University( EKSU) are set to benefit from a 5 billion naira investment organized by AGROMORE.*

The entire Department of Agriculture of Ekiti State University turned out en-mass for The Agriculture Option ground breaking on Monday.

In his address at the event, The Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji, reiterated his commitment towards ensuring the participation of more youths in his government’s Agri-Business drive, stressing his delight to pioneer AGROMORE’s Agriculture Option, first of its kind in Nigeria.
He further appealed to the VC and the Governing Council to fast track the entire process so as not to discourage the investor.

The Chairman of AGROMORE, Ambassador Niyi Ojuolape described the event as a significant milestone in the development of agriculture in the state as The Agruculture Option intends to develop 5 hectares for cultivation.

The Vice Chancellor of the Ekiti State University, Prof. Babatola Ayodele, in his remark, express gratitude to Governor oyebanji for his continued commitment towards the upliftment of the institution as well as Ambassador Niyi Ojuolape for his bold Agriculture initiative.

Oluwasegun micheal representing the beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the Government of Ekiti State and AGROMORE for the rare opportunity given to them.

The innovation which is one of its kind in the history of the country will assist each student with cultivation of land, soil testing, irrigation facilities and seedling while the student goes with a profit of about Two Millon Naira.
