In a bid to cushion the effects of the ongoing economic crisis on vulnerable residents, Ekiti State Deputy Governor, Chief (Mrs) Monisade Afuye, distributed cash, farm tools, and food palliatives to over 500 citizens in Ikere Local Government Area. The initiative, aligned with Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s anti-poverty policies, was designed to benefit the elderly, physically challenged, widows, and other vulnerable groups across the 11 wards of Ikere. During the distribution, Mrs Afuye reiterated the administration’s commitment to supporting the grassroots population and addressing the needs of Ekiti’s most affected communities.Mrs Afuye highlighted Governor Oyebanji’s dedication to improving the lives of economically disadvantaged residents, emphasizing his efforts in youth employment, commercial farming, conditional cash grants, and support for small businesses.
