The Ekiti State Government has announced a revised timetable for the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), initially scheduled to run from Tuesday, June 10 to Thursday, June 19, 2025. The new dates now span from Monday, June 16 to Thursday, June 19, 2025, and apply to all public and private secondary schools in the state.
This adjustment was disclosed in a statement by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Mr. Mike Omolayo, on behalf of the Commissioner for Education, Dr. (Mrs.) Olabimpe Aderiye. The statement clarified that the rescheduling was necessary and officially confirmed the new examination window.
The Ministry expressed regret over any inconvenience the change may have caused and appealed for the understanding and cooperation of students, parents, and school administrators to ensure the smooth conduct of the exams.
