Ekiti Information Commissioner Distributes Food, Cash to Residents, Hails Oyebanji’s Leadership

The Ekiti State Commissioner for Information, Rt. Hon. Taiwo Olatunbosun, has distributed food items and cash to over 800 residents of Igbemo Community in Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government Area. The initiative, which saw the distribution of rice and cash gifts, aimed to support the wellbeing of residents, particularly youths, during the festive season.

Olatunbosun described the gesture as a reflection of Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s leadership principles, which he termed as a divine gift to Ekiti State.Olatunbosun called on residents to support the state government’s efforts to achieve sustainable development, noting that proactive strategies and interventions across various sectors would ensure a prosperous new year. Highlighting the government’s achievements, he pointed to milestones such as agricultural reforms, infrastructure improvements, and enhanced access to electricity. These efforts, he said, have fostered food security, promoted mechanized farming, and boosted socioeconomic activities in previously underserved communities.

The Commissioner lauded Governor Oyebanji’s administration for fulfilling over 90% of its campaign promises and for strategically advancing its six-point agenda. He emphasized the importance of stakeholders’ continued support in maintaining the development momentum. According to Olatunbosun, the government’s ongoing projects and future plans, as outlined in the 2025 budget, are set to improve living standards and create lasting impacts across Ekiti State.
