The Ekiti State Caucus in the National Assembly has unanimously endorsed the proposed tax reform bills aimed at modernising Nigeria’s fiscal framework. The bills, including the Nigeria Tax Administration Bill and the Joint Revenue Board of Nigeria Bill, are part of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s economic reforms prioritising growth and inclusivity.
Led by Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele, the caucus has engaged with stakeholders in Ekiti State and across Nigeria to highlight the benefits of these reforms. These include simplifying tax systems, fostering entrepreneurship, enhancing revenue generation, and ensuring transparency through measures like the establishment of a Tax Appeal Tribunal.
The caucus praised the Tinubu administration’s transformative agenda, urging stakeholders nationwide to support the reforms as a step toward sustainable development and improved public welfare.
