Ekiti Speaker Calls on Youths to Drive Positive Change

The Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye, has urged Nigerian youths to embrace roles as agents of positive change. He emphasized the importance of equipping themselves with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in the 21st-century economy. Speaking during the fourth regional youth conference organized by the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in Ado-Ekiti, Aribasoye highlighted the need for innovative thinking and a focus on sectors like agriculture and information technology.The conference, themed “Rise Up,” featured several empowerment activities, including discounted commodities at the “Jesus Market” and the distribution of essential business tools such as sewing machines and cash grants to aid young entrepreneurs. The Speaker encouraged participants to utilize these opportunities to address economic challenges effectively and contribute meaningfully to society.He also reiterated the government’s commitment to youth empowerment through skill acquisition programs and productive engagements. According to him, this approach will reduce unemployment, boost grassroots development, and help young Nigerians become self-reliant and impactful in their communities.
