Ekiti State Government Approves N1.7 Billion for Revenue House Construction

The Ekiti State Government has allocated ₦1.7 billion for the construction of a new revenue house aimed at improving financial operations within the state.This decision was disclosed by the Commissioner for Information, Taiwo Olatunbosun, following the State Executive Council meeting chaired by Governor Biodun Oyebanji.

Olatunbosun noted that the initiative is part of efforts to enhance the state’s revenue collection infrastructure.The council acknowledged a significant boost in Ekiti’s monthly internally generated revenue, which increased from ₦600 million to ₦1.5 billion under the leadership of the Ekiti State Internal Revenue Service Chairman, Olaniran Olatona.

The improved revenue performance underscores the administration’s commitment to financial prudence and developmental progress.The revenue house project is expected to further strengthen these gains, providing a modernized facility for efficient tax administration and enhanced service delivery.
