FG Allocates N50bn for Digital and Vocational Education in 2025 Budget

The Federal Government has dedicated N50 billion in the 2025 budget to promote online education in secondary schools and expand Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programs. This allocation reflects the government’s commitment to advancing digital and vocational education nationwide.

Part of the Economic Recovery and Growth Plan (ERGP), the initiative seeks to modernize Nigeria’s education system, leveraging digital platforms and vocational training to equip students with 21st-century skills. The program targets Nigeria’s extensive network of over 66,000 secondary schools, aiming to foster innovation and enhance learning outcomes.

With this investment, the government hopes to bridge the educational gap, create employment opportunities, and drive national development by preparing students for the demands of a rapidly evolving global economy.
