FG Declares April 18 & 21 Public Holidays for Easter Celebration

The Federal Government has declared Friday, April 18, and Monday, April 21, as public holidays to mark Good Friday and Easter Monday celebrations.

This was announced by the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, in a statement released by the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Magdalene Ajani. On behalf of the Federal Government, the minister extended warm congratulations to Christians across the nation, urging them to reflect on the sacrifice and love exemplified by Jesus Christ.

Dr. Tunji-Ojo also encouraged Nigerians to use the Easter period to pray for the peace, unity, and stability of the country. He reassured citizens of President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda, which aims at national growth and development.
