The Federal Government has reiterated its dedication to boosting security around schools and ensuring the safety of students and citizens nationwide. This assurance was given by the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris, during a visit to Niger State Governor, Umaru Bago, as part of a Federal Government delegation.
According to a statement released in Abuja by Idris’s Special Assistant on Media, Malam Rabiu Ibrahim, the visit underscores the government’s resolve to intensify efforts toward protecting educational institutions and vulnerable communities across the country.
Idris described the rescue of some of the abducted students of St. Mary’s Catholic Primary and Secondary School, Papyri, Niger State, as a moment of deep relief for the entire nation and especially for the families of the affected children.
