Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has assured residents that he will fully implement the recent Supreme Court judgment on the state’s ongoing political crisis without hesitation.
Acknowledging that the ruling favours his estranged political benefactor, FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, Fubara warned that the state might face challenging times ahead but urged for calm and unity.
Following the judgment, the governor has directed Heads of Local Government Administration to take over the 23 local councils until the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC) conducts fresh elections.
