Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has attributed the state’s remarkable achievements to divine grace, positioning Ekiti as a model of good governance, accountability, and integrity in Nigeria. Speaking at the January edition of the Evening of Praise and Worship at Lady Jibowu Hall, Ado Ekiti, the Governor expressed gratitude for divine guidance in driving the reforms and initiatives that have transformed the state. He highlighted infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, and economic empowerment as key areas where progress has been made, significantly improving residents’ quality of life.
Governor Oyebanji urged citizens to remain thankful, united, and prayerful for continued growth and stability. He celebrated recent milestones, including the promotion of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) to Professor of Chemistry, the appointment of Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele as a Life Bencher, and Ekiti’s selection as a pilot state for agriculture in the Southwest by the Federal Government. He reassured the people that with God’s guidance, the state’s positive trajectory will only continue to rise.
The praise and worship programme featured performances by gospel singer Bukunmi Ojo and the Agape Possibility Choir. In attendance were Deputy Governor Monisade Afuye, First Lady Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji, SSG Prof. Habibat Adubiaro, Head of Service Dr. Folakemi Olomojobi, members of the State Executive Council, Christian leaders, and top civil servants. The event reinforced the state’s commitment to faith and governance, underscoring the role of God in Ekiti’s peace and development.
