Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has extended warm felicitations to the Ewi of Ado-Ekiti, His Royal Majesty Oba Rufus Adeyemo Adejugbe Aladesanmi III, on the occasion of his 79th birthday. Governor Oyebanji described the monarch as an exemplary and visionary leader whose dedication to the development of Ado-Ekiti and Ekiti State as a whole is highly commendable.
In a statement by his Special Adviser on Media, Yinka Oyebode, the governor lauded Oba Adejugbe’s unwavering commitment to the growth of Ado-Ekiti as a prosperous and peaceful state capital. He highlighted the monarch’s resourcefulness, generosity, and willingness to collaborate with the government to advance Ekiti’s development agenda. Governor Oyebanji also praised Oba Adejugbe’s significant contributions to the creation of Ekiti State in the 1990s and his enduring efforts to promote unity and inclusivity in Ado-Ekiti, making it a welcoming home for all.
Governor Oyebanji expressed gratitude for the Ewi’s wise counsel and impactful leadership, emphasizing the monarch’s role as a stabilizing figure and advocate for progress. “On behalf of myself, my wife, and the people of Ekiti State, I wish Kabiyesi good health, long life, and continued impactful years on the throne of his forebears,” the governor stated.
