Governor Oyebanji Celebrates EKSU as Nigeria’s Leading State University

Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji, has commended Ekiti State University (EKSU) for emerging as the top state university in Nigeria. The institution also ranked 12th among 270 universities nationwide, including public and private universities, according to the 2025 Times Higher Education rankings.

In a statement by his Special Adviser on Media, Yinka Oyebode, Governor Oyebanji congratulated the university’s Chancellor, Governing Council, and management, led by Vice Chancellor Prof Akin Oyebode, for their dedication to academic excellence and institutional development.

The Governor described EKSU’s achievement as a testament to the state’s commitment to advancing education and human capital development. He emphasised that this recognition reflects the positive impact of his administration’s significant investment in the education sector.

Governor Oyebanji reaffirmed his government’s commitment to supporting EKSU and other educational institutions in the state, ensuring that they continue to deliver quality education and contribute to the state’s development.
