Governor Oyebanji Mourns Deputy Governor’s Mother, Olori Esther Adegboye

Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji, has extended his condolences to Deputy Governor, Chief (Mrs) Monisade Afuye, following the passing of her mother, Olori Esther Iyalaje Adegboye. Madam Adegboye passed away early yesterday morning after a brief illness at the age of 97.

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media, Mr Yinka Oyebode, Governor Oyebanji sympathised with the Deputy Governor, her siblings, and the entire Adegboye Royal Dynasty over the loss of their matriarch. He described the late Madam Adegboye as an honest and resourceful community leader.

The Governor acknowledged her contributions to the growth of Ikere Ekiti, particularly in women’s mobilisation and empowerment. He prayed for strength and comfort for the family during this period of mourning.
