MOB’s Mega Empowerment Programme: Over 5,000 Beneficiaries in Ekiti Central

Senate Leader and Senator representing Ekiti Central, Michael Opeyemi Bamidele (MOB), on Thursday, launched a massive empowerment programme for his constituents, benefiting over 5,000 residents across the five local government areas of the senatorial district. The event held at the Ekiti Parapo Pavilion, Ado-Ekiti, drew a large crowd and featured the distribution of life-changing tools and grants.

The Senate Leader was accompanied by top dignitaries including Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji; Deputy Governor, Chief Christianah Afuye; Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye; and the Ewi of Ado-Ekiti, Oba Rufus Adejugbe (Aladesanmi III), among other prominent Nigerians.

Beneficiaries received one caterpillar tractor, 10 diesel engine tractors, 536 sewing machines, 303 chest freezers, and grants of ₦100,000 each to 1,900 entrepreneurs. Students in public schools got 1,000 mathematical sets, 10,000 school bags, 1,000 calculators, and 40,000 notebooks. To ease transportation, 180 motorcycles, 165 tricycles, and 20 mini buses were distributed, alongside agricultural support including 146 organic fertilizers, 57 corn seeders, and 10 engine tractors to boost food security.
