The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has dealt a significant blow to drug trafficking during the festive season by intercepting shipments of Methamphetamine and Loud, a potent synthetic cannabis strain, at the Tincan Seaport in Lagos.
The bust followed months of intelligence-driven monitoring of cargoes across three continents. The seized drugs, suspected to be meant for distribution during Christmas and New Year festivities, were concealed within automobile spare parts imported from Canada.
NDLEA operatives uncovered the concealed drugs, disrupting a major trafficking operation. This successful operation highlights NDLEA’s commitment to curbing illicit drug distribution and safeguarding public health, particularly during high-demand periods like the Yuletide season.
