Oluyin of Iyin-Ekiti Lauds President Tinubu for New Federal University

The Oluyin of Iyin-Ekiti, Oba Adeola Adeniyi Ajakaiye, JP, has expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for approving the establishment of the University of Technology and Environmental Sciences in Iyin-Ekiti, Ekiti State. In a statement on Saturday, the monarch also commended the National Assembly and the Minister of Education for their roles in making the institution a reality, describing it as a major milestone in the town’s development.

Oba Ajakaiye particularly praised Senate Leader, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, for his contribution to securing the university and acknowledged the support of the people of Iyin-Ekiti. He assured that the town is fully prepared for the takeoff of the institution and pledged the community’s cooperation and support to ensure its smooth operation.

The traditional ruler emphasised that Iyin-Ekiti has a history of hospitality, already hosting several educational institutions, and reaffirmed the town’s commitment to providing a peaceful and conducive environment for students and staff. He added that the new university would serve as a catalyst for socioeconomic growth, bringing educational and economic opportunities to the region.
