Oyebanji Condemns Political Violence, Urges Calm in Ekiti

Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, on Monday, condemned the recent outbreak of political violence in parts of the state, describing it as a dangerous setback to the peace for which Ekiti is known.

In a Special State Broadcast, he said intelligence reports showed attempts by some individuals to sponsor media propaganda and instigate unrest. He reminded residents that his administration had promoted inclusiveness by appointing opposition members into government, stressing that his ambition was not worth the blood of any citizen.

The Governor appealed to political leaders to caution their supporters and urged Ekiti people to remain calm and law-abiding.
