Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, has congratulated Ondo State Governor-elect, Mr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, on his victory in the November 16 governorship election. In a statement by his Special Adviser on Media, Yinka Oyebode, Oyebanji described Aiyedatiwa’s triumph as an endorsement of good governance under the All Progressives Congress (APC) and a vote of confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership. Governor Oyebanji commended the people of Ondo State for their support of the APC, which he said was evident in their faith in the party’s policies since 2016. He acknowledged Aiyedatiwa’s victory as a challenge to deliver more impactful governance, urging him to unite with his opponents to foster progress. Oyebanji also praised Ekiti indigenes in Ondo for heeding his call to support Aiyedatiwa, promising that they would benefit from the incoming administration’s governance. The governor lauded the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for improvements in the electoral process and commended security agencies for ensuring a peaceful election.
