Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has congratulated Muslim faithful in the state and across Nigeria on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, marking the end of Ramadan. In a goodwill message signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Yinka Oyebode, the Governor praised the dedication of Muslims who observed the 30-day fast, urging them to uphold the spiritual discipline and values cultivated during the holy month. He called for continued love, peace, and harmony among people of all faiths.
Governor Oyebanji emphasized the importance of celebrating with modesty and extending support to the less privileged, stressing that prayers for the state and nation remain crucial for peace and prosperity. He commended the Muslim community for their steadfast support of his administration through prayers, advice, and participation in governance, encouraging them to remain active in fostering religious harmony and social cohesion.
Reiterating the need for collective efforts in promoting peace and orderliness for sustainable development, the Governor called on all residents of Ekiti to work together for shared prosperity. “On behalf of the government, I congratulate the Muslim Ummah on this joyous occasion and pray that Almighty Allah grants us many more celebrations in good health and abundance,” he stated.
