Oyebanji Increases Subvention for Judiciary, Legislature, and Tertiary Institutions

Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has approved a significant increase in the monthly subvention for the judiciary, legislative arm, and subvented institutions, amounting to ₦438.9 million. The move is aimed at ensuring the effective implementation of the new minimum wage and salary adjustments for workers.

The beneficiaries include the Ekiti State Judiciary, House of Assembly Service Commission, and tertiary institutions such as Ekiti State University (EKSU), Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital (EKSUTH), Bamidele Olumilua University (BOUESTI), Ekiti State Polytechnic, and the College of Health Technology, Ijero-Ekiti.

In addition, Governor Oyebanji has approved the payment of the outstanding 2020 leave bonus to local government workers, fulfilling his promise to clear all inherited salary arrears.

Reaffirming his administration’s commitment to workers’ welfare, the governor assured that efforts are ongoing to clear all outstanding entitlements, including gratuities, in line with his continuity and shared prosperity agenda. He encouraged workers to remain dedicated to service delivery and consider themselves key stakeholders in the Ekiti Project.
