Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has assured citizens that the increasing wave of endorsements for his second term will not distract him from fulfilling his duties. During an endorsement event by the Progressive Grassroots Development and Support Foundation in Ado Ekiti, Oyebanji, represented by Deputy Governor Monisade Afuye, emphasized his administration’s commitment to governance. He stated that the endorsements, while appreciated, would serve as motivation to continue delivering on his promises.Oyebanji’s administration has been praised for fulfilling key electoral promises, with significant strides in infrastructure, youth employment, and social welfare.
The governor highlighted ongoing road projects such as the Ado-Iworoko-Ifaki and Ikere-Igbara Odo roads, as well as the Ado Ekiti flyover aimed at reducing traffic congestion. Additionally, he noted that over 40 communities previously without power had been reconnected to the national grid.
The endorsement event saw key political figures, including the Special Adviser on Political Matters, Chief Jide Awe, and the Commissioner for Transport, Mr. Kehinde Ajobiewe, affirming their support for the governor’s continuity agenda. Oyebanji’s efforts to empower the youth, women, and other vulnerable groups were also praised, with the group’s coordinator, Mrs. Rachael Babatunde, vowing to work towards securing his re-election in 2026.
