Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has reaffirmed the success of the Ikun Dairy Farm project during an inspection visit to the facility in Ikun Ekiti. The farm, a Public-Private Partnership between the Ekiti State Government and Promasidor Nigeria Limited, has come under false allegations that all the cows had died. However, the Governor’s visit revealed the opposite—showing increased cattle population, higher milk production, and expanded staff strength.
During the visit, the Governor also flagged off “Ikun Milk Day,” a corporate social responsibility initiative by Promasidor to supply milk weekly to school children in the town. This move underscores the success of the dairy project and Promasidor’s commitment to community development. The initiative comes as a direct benefit of the thriving dairy operations, contradicting claims made by detractors.
The Ikun Dairy Farm, alongside projects like the Ikogosi Warm Springs Resort and the Independent Power Project (IPP), reflects the positive results of the Oyebanji administration’s PPP-driven shared prosperity agenda. Governor Oyebanji emphasized that his government will not be distracted by baseless criticisms, as achievements will continue to speak louder than words.
