The House of Representatives Committee on Constitution Review is set to host a high-level legislative dialogue on Nigeria’s national security architecture today, in partnership with the Office of the National Security Adviser. The event is part of efforts to strengthen the country’s security framework through legislative collaboration and policy reform.
According to a statement by House Spokesperson Akin Rotimi, the dialogue will feature top figures from Nigeria’s security establishment. These include the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu; Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa; Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun; Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Oluwatosin Ajayi; and Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ambassador Mohammed Mohammed, among others.
The engagement aims to foster strategic conversations between lawmakers and security stakeholders to review existing frameworks and propose constitutional reforms that enhance Nigeria’s internal security and national defense.
