Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, has commended defenders Ola Aina and Bright Osayi-Samuel for their performances in Nigeria’s 1-1 draw against Zimbabwe in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.
Nigeria took the lead in the 74th minute through a well-placed header from Victor Osimhen, but Zimbabwe equalized late in the game through Tawanda Chirewa. Despite the disappointing result, Chelle highlighted Aina and Osayi-Samuel’s contributions, noting their solid defensive displays and overall impact on the match.
