The Supreme Court has reserved judgment in four separate appeals related to the ongoing Rivers State political crisis, which has deepened the rift between FCT Minister Nyesom Wike and Governor Siminalayi Fubara.
However, the apex court dismissed Fubara’s appeal challenging a ruling that mandated him to re-present the 2024 budget before the Martin Amaewhule-led faction of the State House of Assembly.
A five-member panel of justices, led by Justice Uwani Musa Aba-Aji, dismissed the appeal after Fubara’s legal team, led by Mr. Yusuf Ali, SAN, withdrew it.
