After weeks of political tension and legal battles surrounding the removal of Mudashiru Obasa as Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, President Bola Tinubu and key leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have brokered a political resolution seen as a win-win for all parties.
Sources within the Presidential Villa revealed that Tinubu met with prominent party figures, including former APC national chairman, Chief Bisi Akande, former Ogun State governor, Olusegun Osoba, Minister of Solid Minerals, Dele Alake, and a former Lagos commissioner, whose identity was not disclosed for political reasons.
Additionally, a South-West nonagenarian had reportedly met with the president earlier to discuss the Lagos Assembly crisis alongside other national issues. He was said to have urged Tinubu to resolve the matter as a birthday gift, further influencing the president’s intervention in the political dispute.
