President Bola Tinubu has approved the reconstitution of the Executive Management for 12 River Basin Development Authorities under the Federal Ministry of Water Resources.
This reconstitution includes the appointment of Chairmen, Managing Directors, and four Executive Directors for each authority, ensuring regional representation and expertise across the board.In the Ogun-Osun River Basin Development Authority, Hon. Odebunmi Olusegun (Oyo) has been appointed as Chairman, alongside Dr. Adedeji Ashiru (Osun) as Managing Director. The team includes Ayo Oyalowo, Finance (Oyo); Dokunmu Olufemi Oyekunle, Planning and Design (Ogun); Suleiman Oris, Agric Services (Lagos); and Engr. Julius Oloro, Engineering (Lagos).
Similarly, for the Upper Benue River Basin Development Authority in Yola, Alhaji Sanusi Mohammed Babantanko (Bauchi) serves as Chairman with Samuel Mahmud Mohammed (Taraba) as Managing Director. The Executive Directors include Hon. Usman Babandubu Bakare, Engineering (Taraba); Ibrahim Dasuki Jalo, Finance (Gombe); Hon. Isa Matori, Planning and Design (Bauchi); and Hamman Dikko, Agric Services (Adamawa). These appointments aim to strengthen water resource management and agricultural development nationwide.
