President Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to equipping Nigerian youth with essential skills to compete effectively on the global stage. Speaking at the official launch of the Nigerian Youth Academy (NiYA) at the State House, Abuja, Tinubu highlighted the government’s focus on digital literacy, technical skills, entrepreneurship, and creative industries as key areas for youth training.
He emphasised that Nigeria, with a median age of 17, has one of the youngest populations in the world, making investment in youth development critical for national success. The President assured that NiYA would provide world-class training to empower young Nigerians and position them as drivers of innovation and economic growth.
The initiative aligns with the government’s broader vision of fostering a skilled and competitive workforce, ensuring that young people can contribute meaningfully to national development while excelling in various global industries.
