President Bola Tinubu on Monday met with Nigeria’s top security chiefs at the Aso Villa in Abuja to discuss pressing national security matters. The meeting was led by the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa.
Also in attendance were the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun; the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu; and the Director General of the Department of State Services, Oluwatosin Ajayi, underscoring the high-level nature of the engagement.
The President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, and the Senate Majority Leader, Opeyemi Bamidele, later joined the closed-door meeting, which took place in the president’s office. Details of the discussions were yet to be disclosed as of press time.
