President Bola Tinubu has highlighted the significant strides African leaders are making in lifting their populations out of poverty and advancing democratic governance. Speaking at the inauguration of Ghana’s newly elected President John Mahama in Accra, Tinubu urged critics to acknowledge the progress made by countries like Nigeria and Ghana in promoting democracy.
He emphasized that Africa has already demonstrated its commitment to democratic principles and should be allowed to develop at its own pace, stressing the continent’s internalization of democratic values.
