United States President, Donald Trump, has said he must play a role in the process of selecting Iran’s next leader following the killing of Ali Khamenei in airstrikes early on Saturday.
Trump made the remark during an interview with US outlet Axios on Thursday, while also rejecting the possibility of Khamenei’s son, Mojtaba Khamenei, emerging as the next leader of the Islamic Republic.
