The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has dismissed widespread social media reports alleging that the results of certain schools have been cancelled. The Council urged the public to disregard the claims, describing them as false and misleading.
Speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), WAEC’s Head of Public Affairs, Moyosola Adesina, clarified that no such announcement was made by the Council and warned that the information did not originate from any official or credible source.
Adesina advised candidates, parents, and school administrators to rely only on verified channels for updates and avoid falling for unverified rumours circulating online.
