The African Democratic Congress, ADC, Senatorial Candidate for Ekiti North, Funso Ayeni, has condemned the attack and vandalisation of his campaign office, calling on law enforcement agencies to investigate the incident.

Ayeni made the call on Saturday during an assessment visit to the damaged office in Ido Ekiti, the headquarters of Ekiti North Senatorial District.

The campaign office was inaugurated on Thursday last week.

The candidate condemned political violence, intimidation and destruction of property, stressing that such actions have no place in the democratic process.

Ayeni urged political actors and supporters to embrace peaceful conduct, saying the 2027 elections should be remembered for the exchange of ideas, issues of governance and accountability, rather than acts of violence and destruction.

He also appealed to security agencies to carry out a thorough investigation and ensure that those responsible for the attack are brought to justice.
