As part of activities for the 2024 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence (GBV), Ekiti State First Lady, Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji, visited the State Police Command to align strategies for combating GBV.
She emphasised collaborative efforts to ensure swift offender prosecution and robust survivor support, highlighting the prevalence of GBV in tertiary institutions.
Commending proactive police efforts, she lauded the Commissioner of Police, CP Akinwale Adeniran, for supporting advocacy in schools. Other stakeholders pledged their commitment to fostering a safer environment for women and girls.
