Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, expressed optimism that the visit of Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), to Ilogbo Ekiti would bring blessings and breakthroughs to the state.
The governor spoke during the RCCG programme, ‘Light Up Ilogbo” ,which coincided with the church’s annual December event, “Let’s Go A Fishing”. Describing Pastor Adeboye’s presence as a Christmas gift for Ekiti, Governor Oyebanji emphasized his belief in the positive impacts of the clergy’s prophetic declarations. He stated that the “light” brought to Ilogbo through the programme would spread across the entire state, signaling prosperity and transformation in the new year.
In his sermon, Pastor Adeboye announced that God had sent him with good news for the people, declaring an end to stagnation and challenges in Ekiti. This marked his first visit to the town, bringing together worshippers, traditional rulers, and government officials, including the Governor’s wife, Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji, and Speaker Rt. Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye. The programme underscored unity, faith, and a hopeful outlook for Ekiti as 2025 approaches.
