Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, alongside top government officials, attended the funeral of the late Chief Judge of the State, Hon Justice Oyewole Adeyeye, on Friday. The burial service, held at the Christ Apostolic Church, Chapel of Peace in Araromi Ugbesi, saw a host of dignitaries, including the Deputy Governor, Chief (Mrs.) Monisade Afuye, and members of the House of Representatives, paying their respects to the distinguished jurist.
During the service, Governor Oyebanji honored the late Justice Adeyeye’s legacy by announcing a N300 million project to provide transformers for communities in Ekiti East Local Government that were unable to access electricity. This project, which the late Chief Judge had personally advocated for, is seen as a tribute to his dedication to service and community development.
Governor Oyebanji praised Adeyeye as a selfless and impactful leader, affirming that the state government would continue to support his family.In a heartfelt homily, Pastor Agunloye Sola of Christ Apostolic Church celebrated the late jurist’s values of compassion and commitment to God’s work. The Governor also visited the Elekota of Kota, Oba Emmanuel Fagbemi, and the Olomuo of Omuo Ekiti, Oba Omonigbehin Adejuwon, to extend condolences to the monarchs and local communities mourning the loss of Justice Adeyeye.
