OYEBANJI UNVEILS 30-YEAR TRANSFORMATION AGENDA FOR EKITI
October 02, 2026
Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has unveiled a 30-year Transformation Agenda aimed at repositioning the state as a leading centre for agricultural production and agro-processing, technology and innovation, quality education, tourism, creative economy and youth entrepreneurship.
Oyebanji announced the plan in his Independence Day broadcast marking Ekiti State’s 30th anniversary of creation.
The governor said the multi-billion-naira Ekiti Knowledge Zone would support innovation and technology development, while the Special Agricultural Processing Zone is expected to commence soon.
He said the projects are designed to create quality employment, boost productivity and move Ekiti beyond its traditional identity as a civil-service state towards becoming a technology hub and major commercial centre.
Oyebanji also announced a youth engagement scheduled for October 7 to discuss the future of the state.
