TINUBU SET TO SIGN FOUR TAX REFORM BILLS INTO LAW TO TRANSFORM REVENUE SYSTEM

President Bola Tinubu will, on Thursday, sign into law four key tax reform bills aimed at overhauling Nigeria’s fiscal and revenue structure. The Presidency confirmed the development in a statement issued on Wednesday evening by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

According to the statement titled “President Tinubu signs four tax bills into law tomorrow,” the reforms are designed to modernize tax administration and improve revenue generation in the country. The bills to be signed include the Nigeria Tax Bill, Nigeria Tax Administration Bill, Nigeria Revenue Service (Establishment) Bill, and the Joint Revenue Board (Establishment) Bill.

The bills were passed by the National Assembly following extensive consultations with stakeholders and interest groups. The Presidency believes the reforms will significantly reshape Nigeria’s fiscal framework and strengthen the revenue system for national development.
