Former senator Ayo Arise has rejected the outcome of the All Progressives Congress senatorial primary for Ekiti North, describing the results as fraudulent and warning of serious consequences.

The returning officer, Asipa Wasiu, had declared that incumbent senator Cyril Fasuyi won with 14,179 votes, while Arise scored 4,868 votes.

Speaking in Oye-Ekiti, Arise insisted the figures were manipulated, claiming he actually won the primary with 8,687 votes against Fasuyi’s 7,755.
