DANGOTE REFINERY EXPANDS FREE FUEL DELIVERY TO FOUR MORE STATES

August 24, 2026

The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has expanded its free petroleum products delivery initiative to Kano, Imo, Anambra and Nasarawa states in a move expected to reduce distribution costs for independent petroleum marketers and create room for lower petrol prices.

According to a statement issued on Sunday, the initiative initially covered Lagos, Ogun, Rivers, Kaduna, Abuja and Delta states.

The programme is designed to bring petroleum products closer to marketers and retailers while eliminating the cost of transporting products over long distances from the refinery to different parts of the country.

By absorbing delivery costs, the refinery said it is reducing one of the major expenses embedded in the downstream petroleum products distribution chain.

The expansion is expected to ease the financial burden on independent petroleum marketers and potentially translate into lower petrol prices for consumers in the affected states.

The refinery said the initiative is part of its efforts to improve the efficiency of petroleum products distribution and strengthen domestic supply across Nigeria.
