FG ASSURES NO QUALIFIED STUDENT WILL MISS TERTIARY EDUCATION OVER LACK OF FUNDS
July 28, 2026
The Federal Government has assured Nigerians that no qualified student will be denied access to higher education due to financial hardship, stating that the Tinubu administration has removed financial barriers through student-focused reforms and investments exceeding ₦1 trillion in universities, polytechnics and colleges of education.
Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, gave the assurance during a meeting with members of the National Committee for the Advancement of Occupational Therapy, Audiology and Speech and Language Therapy Education. He said the administration remained committed to ensuring every qualified Nigerian, regardless of economic background, has access to quality tertiary education.
Alausa said President Bola Tinubu’s reforms were designed to expand educational opportunities, empower young Nigerians and enable them to contribute meaningfully to national development, adding that financial challenges would no longer prevent eligible students from pursuing higher education.
