The Federal Government has released a three-day weather forecast warning Nigerians to expect thunderstorms and moderate rainfall in several parts of the country from Sunday to Tuesday.

The forecast was issued by the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) in its latest weather outlook released in Abuja.

The agency predicted varying weather conditions across the northern, North-Central and southern parts of the country, urging residents to take necessary precautions in areas likely to experience thunderstorms and rainfall.

Meanwhile, the Federal Government has inaugurated the newly constituted Advertising Offences Tribunal as part of efforts to strengthen regulation, promote professionalism and improve integrity in Nigeria’s advertising and marketing communications industry.

The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, stated this during the inauguration of the tribunal in Abuja.

Idris described the development as an important step towards building a more professional, responsible and credible advertising industry.

He said the tribunal would contribute to strengthening regulatory standards and ensuring greater accountability among practitioners and stakeholders in the sector.
