May 30, 2026
The First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, is scheduled to visit Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, on Saturday for a one-day working visit. She will be accompanied by the Wife of the Vice President, Hajia Nana Shettima, alongside other state First Ladies and senior officials, and will be received by Governor Biodun Oyebanji and the Ekiti State First Lady, Dr Olayemi Oyebanji.
During the visit, she is expected to commission the newly completed ICT Centre at Ekiti State University, an initiative facilitated by the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI). She will also meet with traditional rulers under the Ekiti State Traditional Rulers’ Council and officially flag off the APC women’s campaign rally for Governor Oyebanji’s re-election at the Ekiti Parapo Pavilion. The RHI has reportedly implemented several empowerment and support programmes in Ekiti since 2023, targeting women, youths, farmers, students, and vulnerable groups.
