OYEBANJI THANKS EKITI VOTERS, CALLS FOR UNITY AFTER RE-ELECTION VICTORY

June 23, 2026

Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji has thanked the people of the state for their overwhelming support and peaceful conduct during the June 20 governorship election, which secured his re-election for a second term. He described the renewed mandate as a humbling responsibility and praised residents across the 16 local government areas for maintaining peace throughout the electoral process.

The Governor also commended traditional rulers, political leaders, religious bodies, labour unions, youth groups, and members of the APC for their roles in ensuring a violence-free election. He equally appreciated former governors, lawmakers, campaign officials, and security agencies for their support and commitment to the stability of the state.

Oyebanji further praised INEC for the improved conduct of the election and called on opposition candidates, Dr. Wole Oluyede and Ambassador Dare Bejide, to join hands with him in advancing the development of Ekiti.
